Our designer knit studio is closing out end lots of luxurious quality yarns. Many originally cost us over $25 per pound at wholesale. And some were much more like this beautiful yarn from France. To gain much needed space we are offering these high-quality yarns at far below our wholesale cost prices.This yarn is a very soft viscose yarn which is approximately 6500yards per pound. We have about 11 colors which we will be listing. The content is 94% viscose / 5% Polyamide / 1% elasthane When knit as a fabric the resulting fabric has a bit of pulling stretch but is buttery soft. If you are familiar with Silk City's Puma Stretch - this yarn is very similar but slightly lighter. We love Puma but think this yarn is a bit more luscious. We actually substitute in Puma Stretch for this yarn. This auction is for 3.69 pounds of a beautiful Crisp. Weight includes cones. (COLOR : BLANC (name from Filature Saint Lievin color card) - AS PHOTO) This yarn was MADE IN FRANCE. We're not sure if this yarn is still commercially available. But Puma Stretch from Silk City Fibers in New Jersey is a very close match should you need more. We are phasing this yarn out of our production - so when this is gone - it is all gone for us. If you know this popular yarn - you also know that this is an incredible find.This yarn ran well on our 12 gauge industrial stoll machines - that means 12 needles per inch. This yarn should run well on hand knitting machinery such as Passap, Brother, White, Knit King and others with similar chunky gauge settings. We recommend 2 ends on 7 gauge power and hand knitting machinery and 1 end on 10 to 12 gauge machinery.This yarn knits up very well for us and makes beautiful jacquards, intarsias, jerseys and knit/purl textures. Pointelle lace holes get lost in the stretch but is still beautiful.We've knit this simply since the yarn itself is beautifully textured. All cones are in original manufacturer quality from a clean, odor free professional studio. Cones are shipped in the original manufacturers condition and wrapped in clean plastic.We make high end ladies wear for specialty stores, which means that all our yarns are typically more than $25 per pound each.
