These cones are wound by us from the industrial knitting yarns on original mill cones we sell elsewhere in our eBay shop. We buy these remainder yarns only from the top Scottish mills, who use only the best Mongolian Cashmere fibre and who have built their worldwide reputations on their vibrant colour ranges. Most of these yarns were one-off developments for the world's top garment brands, who pay more for them than we are charging here! You simply won't find more colourful or better quality cashmere anywhere. This cashmere/wool blend still gives the cashmere softness but has the toughness of the lambswool and the better stitch definition.... with neutrals in trend, would make some great thicker tops... it was spun by Todd & Duncan of Kinross, scotland, and was originally marketed by them under the Dominion brand This yarn is supplied still oiled for industrial knitting, and needs to be washed to "bloom" - the photo includes a washed skein to show how it blooms. The technician recommended garment wash method is 5 mins on the wool wash program of a washing machine (not the full program!) but we use hand washing for our skeins. This wash should be carried out after knitting a garment, which gives a tighter and harder wearing overall result (but trial swatches should be washed to see the final expected result of course). We ship worldwide, unless asked otherwise we use Royal Mail first class in UK, Royal Mail Airmail small packet overseas. Usually that takes about 1 week to arrive in US or Asia, but can be a little longer. We give full refunds, excluding postage, for any reason, even if you just change your mind! Note the skein in the photo is to show how this yarn blooms after a first wash, the item for sale is the three unwashed cones.
