Original Design by Rebecca Leigh You are looking at 016 "LILY OF THE VALLEY" an original designed pattern for a Baby Christening Gown, Bonnet, and Booties. They are worked in a simple puff stitch design that is so very unique and so easy to crochet. This stitch make it look like buds on a leaf. Since this dress is on a Four Row Repeat, it can be made to whatever lenght you want. The one pictured is 24" from shoulder to bottom of dress. You can also make this gown into a FRILLY LITTLE DRESS ust by making it to the desired lenght that you would want for a dress. This gown can be worn with the opening down the front or down the back. If you can read and understand simple crochet directions and do a double crochet, you should be able to make this set. The directions are written for the beginner crocheter who has a good knowledge of common crocheting terminology and techniques and are able to work from pattern directions. The skirt of the Christening Gown is on a Four Row repeat that is very easy to follow. You will be bidding on the PATTERN ONLY and not the finished item. Set consists of: Christening Gown, Bonnet and Ruffled Booties. This set can be made in any good quality of 3-ply baby sports weight yarn or you can use No. 10 soft crochet cotton in the color of your choice. The one pictured was made in "Soft Baby" by Red Heart. The size is for a newborn to 6 months with a finished chest size of 18" to 19" chest. You can also make it slightly larger by using a heavier 3-ply baby sports weight yarn such as Bernat or any comparable size of yarn and it will fit a baby 12 to 18 months and a size larger crochet hook.
