Candlewick&Satin1 As a member of the Embroidery Software Protection Coalition we participate in activities to stop piracy and counterfeiting of designs and software. Candlewick and Satin 1 Heirloom Quilt Squares in 4 sizes This set of designs was really fun to digitize, and even more fun to stitch out. The designs are supplied in 100 mm, 125 mm, 150 mm, and 180 mm squares. They offer a combination of candlewicking, lacework, and satin stitch. If you have not worked with candlewick designs, they are like French knots done by hand, except that when done by machine, they do not come out :) and the knots of each style all look exactly alike. I love the heirloom effect they give a design. They are very versatile-the first display is of soft pastel colors. They look beautiful just stitched on muslin-they would make a beautiful baby quilt. Below the pastel display are a few shown in 1 color, tone on tone. Those also would make a beautiful quilt. The bottom row is done in Christmas colors- to show that they offer any number of creative possibilities. I think this will be another quilt series I will continue--it was just too much fun. Please note that the last pastel square has a lace insert, or you can omit the lace insert and use the inside of the square for a baby announcement or wedding commemorative.
