Dickinson Kiln from Los Angeles, model #20, inside dimensions: 9"x9"x13". Potters say they have gotten these up to 2000 degrees without any problems. It gets hot, but I have no way to measure just how hot. It's about 50 years old. It runs on two separate regular household 110 volt plugs. (Make sure they are plugged into separate, lightly-loaded branch circuits in your house with heavy-duty cords – otherwise you'll pop circuit-breakers). One plug controls the bottom heating element; the other the top. Both elements are side mounted in the kiln. Both are original and work very well. There are no fancy controls for this beast. It's either off, at half strength, or at full strength. It takes about 5 hours to heat it to 1500 degrees, and another 19 to cool back to room temperature. It's made of fire brick encased in steel, and on its own legs so that it's raised off the ground. There are two peep holes in the front. Neither of the plugs are available -- you'll have to find some. I can deliver within 100 miles for $1 per mile. Otherwise, you must pick it up. I will help load. No shipping. Bring a hand-truck or dolly, ramp into your vehicle, and possibly a helper. It is heavy! Approximately 300 lbs. (related: ceramic, ceramics, clay, potter's wheel, potters wheel, kiln) Pick-up only from zip code 93561 (Tehachapi, California). Sold as-is, no return. Pick-up and payment expected within 10 days. I prefer cash before loading, but will also accept Paypal. If not paid for and picked up within 10 days, item may be re-listed. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
