Comes complete with case, battery, type K thermocouple with high temperature insulation and manual. Easy to use - just turn it on, insert thermocouple and you're ready to go. A great upgrade to replace your small analog dial pyrometer - easier to read, more accurate. The thermocouple is a special no-pull-out design. The thermocouple is designed to be interted into a 13/64" hole in the kiln. To insert, hold loop at the end of the thermocouple in a vertical position. As the thermocouple is inserted, a keyway is cut by the loop. When the end of the thermocouple is inside the kiln, turn the thermocouple to a horizontal position and pull gently. The loop will keep the thermocouple in the kiln, greatly reducing the chances of having the thermocuople accidentally pulling out of the kiln.
