CERTIFIED ORGANIC LIQUID CASTILE SOAP BASE 500ml There are many skin cleansing preparations available and many are sold as soap. This may be misleading as true soap is the product derived from natural oil and fats. Some soaps are in fact synthetic detergents and may be derived from crude petroleum. Even detergents derived from 'natural' fatty acohols are far from natural. They do start off as natural materials but are then heavily processed to convert them to alcohols. The alcohols are then further reacted chemically with things like ethylene oxide and sulphuric acid. The end products are far from natural and they certainly aren't soap! Ideal for cottage and septic use as our soap is biodegradable and safe for the environment. A true liquid soap. Contains no sufactants. Vegetable base perfect for our vegan friends. Plants are not bleached or altered which makes a very pretty natural pale amber colour. Use on it's own or personalise with the simple addition of scent and colour! Any oil-based or water-based herbal ingredients can potentially be used. Some essential oils may not mix perfectly with a natural soap base. These include lemon, lemongrass, clove, eucalyptus and possibly others. Test carefully. Orange oils and other oils may leave the mixture and float on top if too much is used. Warm and stir to get them back in. Gently stir the base while adding other additives. Always test a small sample before moving onto larger amounts Base and additives should be at releatvely the same temperature. Always stir up from the bottom, and be sure the base is homogenous before adding the other ingredients. Keep and eye out for layering within the liquid. Let mixture sit ofr at least 48hours to check for separation. Ingredients: Purified Water, Potassium Oleate, Potassium Cocoate, Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid Potassium Oleate comes from the saponification of organic sunflower oil, Potassium Cocoate comes from the saponification of Organic Coconut oil and Glycedrine from the saponification of both the organic sunflower oil and the organic Coconut oil, Sodium Chloride is common table salt and citric acid is from oranges and lemons.
