You will not find another offering like this one on ebay today or indeed in the near future. Comparing the weapon's workmanship and finish on this reproduction to, the scabbards particularly, of an original leather scabbard in my co9llection, shows the leatherwork and finish on the this scabbard is superior to the original. Allowing of course for the effects of age. Of course this is due to the accurate machine stitching and the superior tanning methods available now. Do not think I in any way denigrate the original items in which I deal. The fogoing is merely to indicate my enthusiasm for this weapon which I will offer at a reasonable price for those who wish to own an example of this very famous weapon. The length of the blade is 36 in. while the length overall of the weapon is 42 1/2. The width at the Ricassso is 0.987 ins, the thickness at the Ricasso is 0.222.
