Thank you for visiting!This listing is for a shank that will allow you to use standard snap-on type presser feet. Most Pfaff models require a snap-on foot that is a little different from the standard snap-on type feet. With this shank you can start using the standard snap-on type that are a lot less expensive. When this shank is attached to your low shank sewing machine, it allows you to use many of the snap-on type feet. The shank has a trigger release lever so that it is very quick to drop off the presser foot. To change from one presser foot to another, you simply raise your presser foot, push the trigger release on the shank...... and the foot will drop off. Then, to attach a new foot you simply place the foot you would like to use under the shank and lower the presser foot bar......you will then hear a "click", and the new foot is attached and ready to sew. The Shank also has a place where a guide bar can be attached. A guide bar is great for machine quilting and other types of sewing where you want to sew evenly spaced rows of stitching.
