The feathers are glued onto a nice soft sewable felt-like material. These pads are great for gift giving as well. Variety in lengths in each pad may vary. Colors may vary slightly.These feathers are natural and sterilized and are shed from domestic birds. Colors front and back may vary slightly. Natural Feathers are not perfect, they will appear marred in spots and crushed in spots, this is due to the sterilization process as well as packaging and shipping . To get closer to a "perfect" feather, we suggest buying artifical or manmade feathers.
