RAISED PLASTER STACKED STONE STENCIL a.imagelink {color:#e2ddc6;} a:hover.imagelink {color:#e2ddc6;} a:visited.imagelink {color:#9e9171;} a.imagelink img.auctionimage { border: 2px solid #e2ddc6; } a:visited.imagelink img.auctionimage { border: 2px solid #9e9171; } Now create the look of REAL stone on your walls with this easy stencil and technique! Take a look at the superb variation of color within each stone. And it's ultra easy! I'm thinking about using this one on the wall at our back entry. Being a house in the forest, how much more natural could I get than a stone entry? Cool!Stencil Design size is 22" x 17" It's ultra, ultra Easy! Here's how: Tape the stencil to the wall. Put some joint compound in to a separate container. Add a bit of two different colors (I used black and rust brown for mine). Take your trowel, plastic scraper or a spoon and just "swirl" the colors together to slightly blend. You actually want to see all three colors (the third being the white of the joint compound). Now, scoop some of this mixture up and smear it over a piece of cardboard or newspaper as a test. This gives you the opportunity to play a little bit with just how you like yours to look. Now, do the same to the stencil. I smeared mine in one direction but you can do as you wish. Try NOT to blend the colors too much. Having distinct separation of color makes it totally look real.Remove the stencil then let the compound dry. Do a whole wall, just around your fireplace, or just around entry doors. Impressive to say the least and people will wonder how expensive it was to apply stone veneer! (Only you will know it was a stencil!).Use with concrete and concrete colorings for outdoor applications! This is a technique that can be used on any of our plaster stone or brick stencils to achieve awesome results! Raised plaster stenciling is so easy! Just smear the stencil with common joint compound, remove the stencil and let the new raised design dry to a hard finish! Either paint the color of your wall as a simple raised design or paint with craft or stencil paints. Joint compound can be pre-tinted if you choose or Color washes can also be done with wall glaze.Either paint the color of your wall as a simple raised design or paint with craft or stencil paints.
