This is a handmade rug hook made by a very good friend of mine from Ohio. He makes these hooks one by one in his shop on an antique lathe. Each hook he turns is different. This particular hook is made of Walnut and is a primitive hook. It is stained and coated with multi coats of polyurethane for a smooth finish. The wooden handle measures approximately 3 1/2 inches and the hook measures approximately 1 5/8". It is a beautiful hook. He does very nice quality wookworking is now expanding and working on making prodders and hopefully will be offering them in the future.
