Description

This auction is for a complete rug hooking kit hand drawn on hairless linen  by Sharon Perry. This kit includes everything you need to complete this 14  inch round Primitive Hooked Rug. It's a pretty simple design with lots of great primitive colors - a great kit for the beginner or seasoned rug hooker. The cardinal is done with real red with rusty red for the wing. The background of the cardinal is hooked with a beautiful oatmeal/tan plaid and the leaves branch with dyed light green and deep dark forest green. The leaves and berries in the border are hooked with light green, forest green and cranberry red. The background of the border is done with a dark chocolate plaid which adds a really nice texture to the project.   This finished piece would make a great wall hanging, pillow top, table centerpiece, or chair pad (that's where it is in my house). Here's what you will receive if you purchase this kit: Color Photo of Completed Rug Comprehensive Rug Hooking Instructions Color Key #8 Cut Wool Strips Pattern Hand Drawn on hairless linen sealed at the edges to prevent fraying.  Rug Binding for the Finished Rug I accept paypal, money orders and personal checks. A postage fee of 5.95 for priority mail within the U.S. or 6.95 airmail to Canada will be added to the winning bid.   If this is your first project I would suggest a quilting hoop frame which can be purchased at any fabric store. There are more user friendly and costly frames available, but I did my first couple of rugs on a quilting hoop and then graduated to the more expensive frame. Should you need a hooking tool, I have solid maple Moshimer hooks for $6.00 with any kit purchase. If you have any questions or would like to discuss rug hooking in general, please email me and thanks for your interest in my work.
