A great lap model rug hooking frame branded Wolf River Farm. I make this frame from native Maine hardwood. This one is made with oak. I am using a professional furniture knob for an easier grip and better appearance. I also use a brass hinge to prevent discoloration. Remove the turn knobs, fold down the upright supports and you have a compact travel frame to take to hooking outings. The working frame is 15 inches square and about six inches high. Rug hookers from all over the United States and Canada are using this model and are very pleased with it. The gripper strips (Howard Brush) are on a 45 degree angle at the corners and tip down about 5 degrees to give it a much firmer hold on the material.
