nocamp Store VINTAGE 1941 SAILOR ED MACHINE EMBROIDERY DESIGNS CD This adorable set of 9 designs is from a vintage "Grit " pattern that was sent out to their customers in November, 1941 just weeks before Pearl Harbor! He looks so much like my Dad, that I've named this handsome sailor after him. Dad did all these jobs in the Pacific except Dad never got to steer the ship! The description on the pattern in 1941 still rings true today: "You'll love this handsome young sailor when he is embroidered on your towels. He looks so cheerful as he works at his potato-peeling, ironing, bedmaking, swabbing the decks, writing his girl back home and keeping his ship on a steady course." "Embroidered on towels, these will make a welcome gift for the girl who has a best beau in the navy - and they are so gay and amusing that they'll make a nice bit of useful decoration in any kitchen. Embroider them on a set of hand towels for the bathroom. You can also use the sailor boy figure for curtains, pillows and bed spreads for a youngster's room or as blocks for a quilt for a boy's room." These vintage designs were created using outline stitches. Many vintage patterns have tiny flowers or breaks in outlines. Because of this, there are more jumps than usual but they could not be eliminated and keep the vintage look. These designs fit the 4x4 hoop and are in the following formats: PES, PCS, PEC, CSD, DST, EMD, EXP, HUS, JEF, SEW, VIP and XXX. You will need the appropriate hardware/software to transfer the designs to your embroidery sewing machine. As with all designs, please test sew first. These designs were created by me using PE Design 4.0 and I retain all copyrights to the digitized designs. Designs may be used to create items to sell. Thanks for looking !
