This dulcimer KIT includes all of the necessary wood needed to build a beautiful SYCAMORE with BLACK WALNUT fretboard, 4 string mountain dulcimer. The wood is all SYCAMORE & BLACK WALNUT hardwood - not laminate/veneer. Also you will receive all of the required hardware, metal tuning gears, a fretboard (ALREADY FRETTED), Martin strings, a noter, a pick and assembly instructions. The finished instrument is approx. 36" in length. Nut to bridge is 27". It has a 6 1/2 fret. The peg head is flat and tilted slightly back. The sound holes are NOT cut out. You will need some simple tools and finishing supplies, such as Tung Oil, steel wool, sand paper, etc... Of course, it takes some time and patience to build a nice instrument.
