A Great book for anyone interested lace..........hand or machine made. Terminology, history of lace, identifying laces such as cutwork, pulled thread work, embroidered lace, the different types needlepoints, bobbin lace and more. Machine lace identification includes decorated nets, machine patterned laces and imitation laces. Many closeup photos of lace details throughout, a glossary, and a comparison chart of machine laces and bobbin laces. 157 pages with a soft cover. Book was published in 1980 and is still one of the best on identfying lace. The book is in beautiful condition........even the binding feels like it's never been used.
