Cathy Richardson makes learning the art of lace making so much easier than just reading books and looking at pictures. She is a skilled lace maker that truly has the ability to teach lacemaking. These (3) videos are an informative and extremely helpful guide to learn the beautiful art of lace making. Bobbin lacemaking is a very old art which almost died out except for a few regions in Europe, where lacemakers still do lacemaking for small village industry or simply work for their own pleasure. It declined with the invention of lacemaking machines. Fortunately, like so many older older handcrafts, it has revived and is enjoyed today by many people.
