Full Size Handmade Oak Kumihimo Marudai with Eight 30 gram Tama. I am a lampwork artist and was looking for something to accent my beads. The Kumihimo braided necklaces seemed like a perfect fit. My father recently became semi-retired and has began woodworking so I put him to work. He prefers making useful items and only uses premium wood in all his pieces. This is a full size 25" tall Marudai is made with premium Red Oak wood, sanded smooth, and sealed with a gloss tung oil with a wax finish. It is super smooth. The marudai comes unassembled with instructions. It is tension fit which enables you to take it apart easily and travel with it if you teach classes and such or you can just add a small amount of wood glue and make it permanent. Measurements are:Base - 11 x 11"Mirror - 10.5" in diameterTop hole - 1.5" in diameterStands 25" tall The Marudai comes with 8 thirty gram Tama which are great for braiding with finer silks.
