All my patterns are brand new and come from a smoke-free environment. The model of this design was stitched on #40 count linen over two threads using two plies of silk. A DMC conversion chart is provided. The size of the design using this count would be 13-7/8" x 18-3/8", and the stitch count of this design is 278w x 371H. On #28 or #14 counts the size of the pattern would be 19-3/8" x 26--1/4". The stitch count of each block is 92w x 92h. On #28 or #14 count each block would be about 6-1/2" square if you wanted to stitch them individually. I went through the whole pattern and unless I missed something, and I don't think I did, whole cross stitches are used throughout with some backstitching and two french knots. What can you say about this incredible design. Stitch it as is or stitch each block and make knob knockers, pillows, sachets, ornaments or what else can you think of? When you look at each block and look at the detail, it is amazing and you realize what a really remarkable design this one is. It will be fun to stitch no matter how you decide to stitch it. Enjoy!
