judester610 Store You are bidding on a great Disney needlepoint book published by Random House, date 1976. There are 96 pages of projects and directions for a huge variety of Disney characters and items. One page has marking on it. ~ POLICY & FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ~ READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE BIDDING!! Please use social skills (“please,†“thank you,†“how are you,†etc.) and treat me with dignity and respect. I promise to do the same. If you can’t handle that…don’t bid. And please act responsibly…your bid is your agreement to ALL of the following. Payment Info Please send payment to: Judy Reardon, 347 N. 4th St., Catawissa, PA, 17820. BUYER MUST SEND A COPY OF THE INVOICE OR ORDER DETAILS WITH PAYMENT. Processing of your payment may be delayed 1 week without the invoice!!!!! Contact Info Please contact me via eBay messaging ONLY, not e-mail. Don’t give me poor ratings for communication if you use e-mail, and I don’t answer you. Having said that, I have had more than one occasion where eBay messaging has totally failed, since it is not working properly. I typically do not notify people when payment is received or when item is shipped. I do answer all eBay messages. Shipping & Handling Fees I use the most cost-effective methods offered by the USPS for shipping, with small handling charge for my time, materials, and careful packaging. Domestic shipping & handling charges are listed on auctions - I am happy to combine shipping. I ship Parcel Post, First Class, and Media Mail. If Priority is cheapest, I choose Priority. Please note that the difference between Priority and Parcel Post can range from $.20 to $25. Don’t give me poor feedback because you want your item shipped Priority, but only pay for Parcel Post shipping. If you want your item shipped Priority, tell me before you send me payment, and I will recalculate your shipping/handling fees. I WILL SHIP ONLY ONCE WITH ORIGINAL SHIPPING PAYMENT – MAKE SURE YOU ARTICULATE CLEARLY WHERE YOU WANT YOUR ITEM SHIPPED. Free Shipping Policy eBay is currently encouraging sellers to offer free shipping. If I offer you free shipping, I have to make that cost up somewhere. That means I have to make my starting prices higher. And who benefits from that? eBay. eBay gets no final value percentage (at least 10% of the sale price) on shipping and handling. Insurance I am not responsible for uninsured items. Payment Methods I accept checks, money orders, and cashiers checks. Payment due within 7 days. Since eBay stopped allowing sellers to give buyers negative feedback, getting people to pay has been a true nightmare. I have had more unpaid items and many very late payments (One person paid 5 weeks late!). I sometimes have to beg for payment…and then I can’t leave appropriate feedback to warn other sellers – I just leave no feedback, which doesn’t help anyone, other than the unscrupulous buyer. Once I have to take PayPal, if I start to receive chargebacks, etc., I will definitely be gone from eBay. Current Shipping Policy KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND, ESPECIALLY WHEN CONSIDERING FEEDBACK. PLEASE DON’T AGREE TO THESE TERMS WITH YOUR BID AND THEN GIVE ME POOR FEEDBACK BECAUSE YOU DECIDE AFTER PURCHASING AN ITEM THAT YOU SHOULD RECEIVE IT FASTER! Due to the demands of my real job and changing eBay policies, I only ship once a week (either Monday or Tuesday). Items paid by USPS money orders, other domestic money orders, and cashiers checks will ship within 1 to 7 days of receipt of payment, depending on when I get payment. If I ship on Monday, and payment arrives Tuesday, your item will not ship until the following week. Shipping takes place on or about the 10th day after receipt of personal checks, depending on when I receive payment. THIS PROCESS CAN TAKE 3+ WEEKS, SINCE I OFTEN USE PARCEL POST – document when you send payment & don’t send nasty messages/give me poor feedback if you don’t have your item sooner than you anticipate! YOU are entering into this agreement, so act responsibly. (Also, I have a chronic illness that may delay shipping. I also live in a rural area, and it may take 5 days for your payment to reach me.) Again, if the above shipping guidelines do not fit into your expectations, please do not bid. It isn’t fair to agree to a contract, and then give me poor feedback, even though I stay within my policies when handling your item. Future Shipping Policy With the onset of eBay’s new policy of not accepting paper payments in October, I will ship once a week, either on Monday or Tuesday. Items paid for within a day or two before my regular shipping day may not be processed and readied for shipping until the following week. I work fulltime and have a serious illness – I will not be sitting beside my computer at home waiting for someone to submit a PayPal payment so that I can rush to the Post Office with the item. Feedback I leave feedback only after a buyer has left feedback for me, so that I know the buyer is satisfied. AS A BUYER, FEEDBACK IS PART OF YOUR CONTRACT. In addition, eBay has left sellers powerless in the feedback game. I am very seriously considering calling it quits on eBay. In their efforts to entice buyers, eBay has sold out sellers. I have been on eBay for years. The earlier environment was a more trusting marketplace, where people dealt with each other in good faith. The more eBay has tried to control and regulate everything, while increasing their profits, the environment has become more and more negative. Return Policy All sales final. Ask questions via eBay messaging before bidding. I describe items to the best of my ability. None of us, including the cats and dog, smoke. However, since most of the items I sell are used, they are seldom perfect, and there may be odors. For the Future Please look soon for my items on Craigslist, Willkes-Barre, PA. Due to eBay’s ever-changing policies, I will be adding other venues for selling. As always, you will get excellent customer service, great packing, and quality items. I am also considering a Website. I was an antique dealer for 30 years…I survived without eBay then, and I can survive without eBay again. International Bidders I will ship internationally with qualifications. Be aware of what items are on the prohibited list for mailing into your country. Don’t bid and ask me to lie on customs forms. PAYMENT IN U.S. CURRENCY ONLY!!!!! Mandatory PayPal As of 10/20, eBay will eliminate the options of receiving payment by personal check, money order, and cashiers check. My entire reputation has been built on trusting good and honest buyers who paid with paper payments, and this change is a real nightmare for me. With this new eBay policy, MY policies must also change. It may be that I will have to stop selling on eBay altogether because of the VERY high fees associated with accepting PayPal payments. As we all know, eBay owns PayPal, and every time you win an item on eBay, then make a PayPal payment, eBay not only gets the listing and final value fees associated with the listed item (which can run 10-15% of the sale price of any given item), but eBay also gets the fees associated with your PayPal payment – and these compounded fees are HUGE. On some items, combined fees may run well over 20% of the sale price of an item. If I sell something for $10, and eBay gets at least $2 to $2.50 of that, in order for me to make any money (considering my time and packaging materials), I will have had to have paid only $2 or $3 for that item. In reality, I begin to lose money relatively soon if I have to accept PayPal. (Paper payments don’t make eBay a single cent of profit, and they don’t cost me large fees.) All of my auction starting bids will have to rise, as well as handling charges, in order to cover the sizeable eBay and PayPal fees. I will have to stop selling small-ticket items. Rather than recognizing a worsening economy and doing what they can to help people, eBay wants more of a piece of everyone’s pie as more people need to list things. Obviously, eBay hasn’t gotten the message that corporate greed is destroying the United States. Think about it…for the millions of sales that take place everyday on eBay…eBay makes 10-20% on each sale. Look at eBay listings…every day you see people announcing that they will not be using eBay after the end of October (when paper payments are eliminated)…good, regular sellers are leaving. Smart people will not be taken advantage of – the American public isn’t stupid. eBay has created a “buyer’s market,†but, as a buyer myself, I am cutting down on how much I shop on eBay now, and will most likely stop shopping on eBay altogether at some point. I will definitely join the boycott planned for the end of October as both a buyer and seller. As a seller, my protections have been eroded, and my fees are going up to a point where the work involved with selling on eBay will no longer be worth it. (There are other options.) Please educate yourself on PayPal. When you pay me with PayPal, I don’t get the money. Your payment goes into an account, and PayPal (eBay) limits how much I can withdraw from that account without an additional fee. I CAN ONLY GET A LIMITED AMOUNT OF MY OWN MONEY OUT OF PAYPAL WITHOUT PAYING A FEE OR GETTING A PAYPAL DEBIT CARD WITH MORE FEES. Please educate yourself on some of eBay’s profit…do a Google search and type in “eBay profits.†View Website after Website discussing record-breaking eBay profit, much of it from PayPal sales growth. eBay is not ending paper payments for your safety only. PayPal growth is generating a lot of profit for them, and they have figured out a way to create more of such growth. eBay makes no money on your paper payment to me. Just like the mortgage bankers and oil companies, eBay is not concerned about you. eBay is walking away with millions and millions of dollars every day…thanks, in part, to the American folks. eBay revenue was up this year by about $90 million over last year in the 2nd quarter alone. It isn’t because they care about you or your safety on the Internet. How much safer do you feel as a result of eBay’s almost $500 million in revenue in the 2nd quarter of this year? Multiply $500 million X 4 for the annual take. After the paper payments stop, and more people take PayPal, go back to your Google search and check on eBay revenue. As their profits increase, will you be any safer?
