This pattern booklet for the Diamonds and Stripes Zippered Sweater is one of a series of the Marla Richard Designs for Board Knitting collection. It gives complete step by step instructions for creating this sweater on knitting boards. This 10 page booklet includes detailed instructions for creating this great sweater from casting on to the final steps of sewing up the final pieces. It gives instructions for the sweater with or without cuffed sleeves. It also includes an illustrated Stitch Library section that covers all the knitting board stitches and techniques used to make this warm sweater. So, whether you are an experienced board knitter or using one for the first time, you too can create this warm sweater in time for cooler weather. If you are new to knitting boards, they are a fun and extremely easy way to knit without needles. No prior knowledge of knitting or crocheting is required before you are making afghans, sweaters (like the one shown here), scarves, purses, etc. Easy enough for a child to do – and many children love using them. You can knit using both sides, called double knitting, or just using one side. Note, if you are using one of the knitting boards made by us (see below), this pattern requires the longer 34" board.
